Local Quit Smoking Service scores a century on No Smoking Day 100th group at Specialist Smokers' Clinic goes smoke-free on 9th March Enfield & Haringey Quit Smoking service is celebrating the 100th group of its Specialist Smokers' Clinics and the centennial group will be quitting smoking on No Smoking Day. The Specialist Smokers' Clinics have been running since September 2000 and has so far helped over 2,500 local people throughout Enfield and Haringey to successfully stop smoking. Group 100 are attending a clinic at St Michael's Centre, Chase Side - one of three locations at which the clinics take place. The group started on 23rd February, which means their quit date falls on No Smoking Day - Wednesday, 9th March. "Group 100 is a real milestone for us and just shows how many local people we've helped to stop smoking over the last 4 ½ years," said Elisa Thompson, Deputy Service Manager. "We're proud of all the people in every group that have managed to quit with the support we provide at the clinics and think that our 78% success rate speaks for itself." The Enfield & Haringey Quit Smoking Service will also be celebrating No Smoking Day across the two boroughs with manned displays in Boots Chemists in Wood Green, Haringey and Palace Gardens, Enfield.
