Lucky Muswell Hill residents will be pleased to know that one of their local pharmacists is our top performing Stop Smoking Advisor for 2006/07. Shameem Bashir is the pharmacist advisor based in MCRX Pharmacy on Muswell Hill Broadway. She has been working with the service for over 2 years and has consistently achieved great results with her stop smoking clients.

Pharmacy advisors work with clients on a one-to-one basis over a period of 6 weeks. It is similar to our clinic service in that during an initial consultation, clients discuss their smoking patterns, have their carbon monoxide levels checked and work out, with the help of their advisor, which type of nicotine replacement therapy is best for them. A quit date is set (usually for the following week) and clients are seen weekly for the first four weeks of their new, smoke-free life.
