A new 1:1 drop-in clinic opened at Southgate library on the 26th August 2010 to help smokers kick the habit.

An attempt to smuggle more than 10 million cigarettes hidden in boxes of tomatoes through the port of Felixstowe has been foiled.
Yesterday the Waltham Forest Guardian News reported that health officials in the area had backed the bid to ban the display of tobacco products in stores.
